It can be so easy to blame it on the holidays, claim that you just got “too busy” to make healthy decisions a priority, or convince yourself that “everyone puts on extra weight in the winter time” – that “everyone is sitting around at home because were on a global lockdown”.
One thing that I think is true for all of us, is that we never completely drop the roles that we develop as a child. I am talking about the masks we wear in order to effectively give and get love, recognize how to feel safe, develop a comfort zone and learn how to connect with people. The root chakra stuff that we have to keep coming back too!!!
Codependency is one of those clinical terms, like disassociative episodes or anxiety. Most of the time the original root can be found in family karma – being a child or grandchild of alcoholic. The truth is that the relationships you developed as a child where are often emotionally destructive, manipulative, narcissistic, toxic and full of power struggles so you developed a protective skin that kept you safe, which as an adult no longer serves you. Instead this “skin” is causing you to be unsuccessful, broke, self-destructive, people pleasing, triggered and unconsciously repeat hurtful patterns.
Kundalini Yoga, has been linked to law of attraction, opening up your full potential, and balancing your hormones. Kundalini Yoga derives from Kundalini, a Sanskrit term from ancient India that describes a rising of an energy and consciousness which has been coiled at the base of the spine since birth. This energy is the source of the life force (prana, chi, collective-consciousness) that everybody knows, and channeled upward through the chakras in the process of spiritual perfection.
It all comes down to having an abundance over a scarcity mindset – which can be hard when you’re just starting out. Collaborations are easy… and finding good, smart, genuine people to collaborate with is not as hard as it sounds. You just have to choose to think abundantly. An example of this is in the health coach industry, there are a dozen awesome schools producing thousands of certified coaches. A scarcity mindset may lead you to compare, judge and get caught up in the drama. Whereas an abundance mindset with allow you to believe that each new graduate is an opportunity for Elemental Growth.
