The fourth of the 7 chakras is known as the Heart Chakra, Anahata meaning “unstruct/unhurt”. This is the chakra I connect most with being born an air sign (libra). Air energy is associated to the breath, as well as, connection with nature and a less is more attitude. Anahata is governed by transformation and integration, the heart energy center is the bridge between our inner and outer worlds (upper and lower triangles), the heart is balance itself.
The third of the 7 chakras is known as the Navel Center Chakra, the Manipura meaning “City of Jewels”. This is where we find pearls of clarity, wisdom, confidence, and wellbeing. The secondary chakra is called Surya (sun) and it is located at the solar plexus. Manipura is associated with A-type personalities, self-esteem, sense of purpose, personal identity, willpower, digestion, and metabolism. This is also your core of stability “fire in the belly” your willpower which gives you the energy to change, grow, and take action, this is the spark we need to get things going.
The second of the 7 chakras is known as Sacral Chakra, the Svadhishthana meaning “one’s own”. Svadhisthana is known for creativity and sexual and its energy is characterized by flow and flexibility. The function of the sacral chakra is directed by the principle of pleasure, it is located above the pubic bone and it encompasses the genital region. When we are being open and creative in our daily life we open the doors to this energy and by maintaining a healthy sexual life, honoring and respecting your body we can get in touch with our emotions and see if there are any feelings you’re holding onto. When we make a commitment to this process we begin to channel those emotions in a healthy way.
